Meg's Ballroom Bodice

This bodice was challenging in such a unique way. I spend nearly half the time building it on the sleeves alone - trying to perfect how to create scallops on countless practice fabrics, hand sewing stays to ensure the gathering didn't pop, and lining up all the scallops so they layered perfectly. On top of all of that, this was my first project that attacked pattern matching very closely. The plaid had to laid perfectly so it would look like one solid piece from the audience. While it's not absolutely perfect in parts, I could not be more proud of the work I put in for this bodice.
